It moves on its own. That's the whole trick.

A ball only holds a cat's attention while someone is throwing it. This one rolls by itself — pausing, changing direction, backing out of corners — so the hunt keeps going after you've left the room. Indoor cats sleep sixteen hours a day. The waking ones are worth planning for.

Unpredictable, which is the point

It doesn't run a loop. It rolls, stalls, turns away and darts off again — closer to how prey behaves than any toy on a string. Cats lose interest in patterns; this one never quite settles into one.

Two speeds, one for the shy ones

Start slow if your cat is cautious or getting on in years. Switch up once they're chasing it properly. Kittens and short-legged breeds do fine on the low setting.

Quiet enough for a flat

A soft silicone shell muffles the roll on hard floors, so a 2am hunting session doesn't wake the household. Charges over USB-C — cable included, no batteries to keep buying.

Questions

Will it work on carpet?

On low pile, yes. Deep shag slows it down — hard floors and rugs are where it runs best.

My cat ignored the last automatic toy. Why is this different?

Most cats quit on toys that repeat the same path. Start it near them rather than across the room, run it ten minutes at a time, and put it away between sessions. Scarcity keeps it interesting.

How long does a charge last?

Enough for several play sessions. Short bursts are better for cats anyway — they hunt in sprints, not marathons.

Is it safe to leave running unattended?

Use it while you're home. Any moving toy should be put away when nobody's watching, and it lasts longer that way too.
