Perch Cat Scratching Board — Sisal & Solid Wood, Flips into a Bed

A board they'll actually use. A bed when they're done.
Cats don't scratch to be difficult. They scratch to stretch, to shed claw sheaths, to leave their mark. Give them nothing to use and the sofa becomes the answer. The Perch gives them a better one — a leaning sisal board, a ball to chase, and a place to lie down after.
Leaned at 15°, not straight up
A vertical post forces a cat to reach with their spine compressed. The Perch leans back, so they stretch out along the board the way they would on a fallen tree. The wide triangular base keeps it from tipping while they pull.
Replace the sisal, not the furniture
The scratching panel attaches with hook-and-loop backing. Lift it off to wash it, or swap it out when it finally wears through. The wood frame stays. Most scratchers get thrown away because one surface gave up — this one doesn't have to.
Natural sisal over solid wood
No carpet, no printed plastic. Tight-woven sisal takes the punishment claws are built to give. A teaser ball hangs from the top rail and three rolling balls sit along the base, so the board is somewhere to play as well as sharpen.
Lay it down and it's a bed
Turn the frame over and the board becomes a low, slightly raised lounger — off the cold floor, still in the middle of the room where they want to be. Two pieces of furniture, one footprint. In a small apartment that is the whole point.

Questions
Will my cat use it instead of the couch?
Put it beside whatever they scratch now, not across the room. Cats scratch where they already go. Most switch within a week once there is something better in the same spot.
What happens when the sisal wears out?
Peel the panel off and put a fresh one on. It is held by hook-and-loop backing, so no tools and nothing to unscrew. The frame outlasts several panels.
Does sisal make a mess?
Some loose fibre comes off in the first weeks, like a new rug. A quick vacuum handles it, and it settles down.
Is it stable for a big cat?
The triangular base spreads the load across the floor, so it stays put when a cat leans into it. It does not need to be fixed to a wall.
